Admission Criteria

Oaklands School Admissions Policy

All the pupils who attend Oaklands have either a Statement of Special Educational Needs drafted under Statutory Procedures or an Education Health and Care Plan.  Applications to the school are made from the Local Authority Statutory Assessment Team.  All advice givers will have supported such a request.  The final decision is made after consultations between the Parents, Child, School and Local Authority.  If all agree then a place is offered.

Oaklands School offers a broad, balanced, relevant and differentiated curriculum.  The school has a recently reviewed SEND Policy which underpins practice.  Central to all we do are positive partnerships with all stakeholders but particularly between Pupils, Staff and Parents.
